The Race
The Teton Mountaineering Cache Creek Trail Run race covers approximately 11 miles (18km) in the picturesque Bridger-Teton National Forest. The race begins at 8 a.m. in the upper Snow King Resort parking lot. From there the course proceeds east, up Cache Creek, then climbs up Game Creek Divide (elev. 7,400 ft.) and down Game Creek to the south and west. Total elevation change is roughly 3,000 feet.
Caution: Trail running is inherently dangerous. Racers could be injured due to many things. The course may present such dangers as unmarked obstacles, dangerous animals, and unpredictable weather. Please use caution and prepare accordingly.
Aid Stations: 2 water stations are provided along the course. However, due to the backcountry location and rugged nature of this race, racers are encouraged not to depend on these stations as their sole supply of water. Bring your own water bottle or CamelBak to be sure!
Backcountry Etiquette: Runners using food packets, etc. during the race are reminded to pack out all their trash. Conscientious backcountry travel ensures future access for all of us who enjoy the National Forest Service lands.
This event would not be possible if it weren’t for the support of the National Forest Service, The Department of Agriculture, Friends of Pathways Jackson Hole, The Town of Jackson, Wy and all of you!
